St Joseph’s Primary School & Nursery Class is named after the Patron Saint of St Joseph. We are a Roman Catholic Denominational School with a non-denominational nursery class. We serve the area of Blantyre as well as taking in children from surrounding areas. Our school was first opened in 1955 and was located beside St Joseph’s Church, just off Glasgow Road. However, in October 2010, we moved into our new school in Park Lane.

In St Joseph’s Primary School we endeavor to create an effective, organised, caring community, based on Gospel values. We are committed to developing the potential of all pupils and staff in a Christian ethos of trust, co-operation and mutual respect, in partnership with Parents, Clergy and the wider community.

In an environment such as this, effective learning and teaching will take place in the key curricular areas which contribute to ensuring each individual aspires to realise their full potential - spiritually, academically, socially and aesthetically.
